Dear members,
As previously advised to members at the annual presentation event and most recently the Club’s Annual General Meeting, the SJPBC Group has a Greens Strategy in place. In addition, we previously conducted a member survey in reference to our greens and facilities at SJPBC to gain feedback from our members.
The purpose of the Greens Strategy is to carry out due diligence on all venues across the SJPBC Group into our current greens and facilities we offer to our members. The main objective of the Greens Strategy is to ensure the long-term sustainability of our sport of lawn bowls.
A part of the due diligence we are investigating the possible replacement of our greens with artificial surfaces and canopies. To date, we have carried out surveying services, geotechnical services and location services at all Club venues.
I can verify that the Board of Directors has not made any decisions in reference to our future greens and facilities at SJPBC.
As previously advised, we will continue to consult with our members in reference to this important Greens Strategy. I wish to advise members a Greens Strategy presentation to members will be conducted on Wednesday the 24th January 2024. It will be held in the Powerhouse and will commence at 6.30pm. Light refreshments will be provided. At the completion of the presentation, members will be given the opportunity to ask questions about the presentation. It is advised this is not a general/special meeting of members.
