Jackie Short & Maryann Parcell are your 2023/24 Ladies Over 60’s Champions. They defeated Gina Maniaci & Annette Wentworth/Perry 26-11 in very warm & windy conditions.
Jackie & Maryann started the better, leading 6-0 after 3 ends, then 12-3 after 8 ends. Gina & Annette battled hard in difficult conditions, but just couldn’t bridge the gap. Jackie & Maryann defended their lead well, only dropping 1 or 2 shots at a time.
Well done to all 4 players on reaching the final, & putting on a very good game in very tricky conditions.
To reach the Final, Jackie & Maryann defeated Irene McBride & Elaine Field in a hard fought contest 23-16. Gina & Annette were red hot in their semi final defeating Kris Williams & Sue Brooker 32-9.
