Lorraine Peel and Sharyn Renshaw have been crowned Ladies Graded Pairs Champions, after a hard fought 19-10 victory over their opponents Lesley Arie and Beth Quinlan.
The match started in great fashion with both sides exchanging shots and in turn the mat. When rain haltered proceedings four ends in, Peel and Renshaw had the slender lead 6-4.
After the resumption of play, Arie and Quinlan couldn’t quite claw back the leaders, who continued to plough their way to victory. A wet but worthy championship for the experienced Renshaw and relative newcomer Peel.
A great championship concept, that may have been rain affected, but the final involved some lovely bowls from all of the contenders. Well done to all of the ladies who participated in the championship.
