The 2022/23 Men’s Major Pairs Championship concluded over the weekend. Champions this year are Cameron Cooper & Michael Rowe who defeated George Bakulic & Julio Posadas in the final 23-18. Scores were close early in the match with George & Julio leading 7-5 after 6 ends. Cameron & Michael then made their move picking up 11 shots over the next 4 ends whilst only conceding 2 to lead 16-9 after 10 ends. It was George & Julio’s turn to make a move winning 4 of the next 5 ends to only trail by 1 shot at 17-16 after 15 ends. The remaining 6 ends were all close with all 4 Bowlers playing some great shots, but it was Cameron & Michael who got the better winning 5 of the last 6 ends to take out the title 23-18.
In the Semi Finals, Cameron & Michael defeated Guye McPherson & Thomas Webb 27-18 whilst George & Julio defeated Mark Roppola & Luke Grainger 24-8.
