The 2022/23 Ladies Major Pairs was concluded over the weekend. Your 2022/23 Champions are Jan Watson & Jo Wai Wai who defeated Maryann Parcell & Dawn Hayman 19-13 in a very hard fought match. Not much separated the 2 teams early on with Maryann & Dawn leading 7-6 after 10 ends, then 10-8 after 14 ends. Jan & Jo then picked up 7 shots over the next 4 ends to lead 15-11. Despite all their efforts, Maryann & Dawn couldn’t close the gap with Jan & Jo running out winners 19-13. Congratulations to all 4 players involved.
In the Semi Finals (played the previous week), Jan & Jo defeated Brianna Smith & Natasha Russell 19-18 (extra end required), whilst Maryann & Dawn defeated Jackie Short & Sarah Berghoffer 24-15.
