Easter Weekend of Bowls

Easter has come & gone & what a great weekend was had on the greens with 3 Tournaments played over the Weekend.

Friday saw 3 full greens take part in our Good Friday Mixed Pairs Tournament.
The day started out in bleak conditions with rain doing it’s best to spoil the fun. The 40 teams braved the early miserable weather & at the end of the day, 4 games of 10 end matches were completed.
The winners of the day were Gerard Beath & Brianna Smith with 4 wins + 42 (Gerard filled in for Terry Ryan after 2 rounds due to illness.) Runners Up were Anthony Wise (Wenty Leagues) & Maelene Reynolds (Northmead) with 4 wins + 20.

Easter Saturday saw 34 sides take part in our Dave Leggatt Graded Pairs Tournament. 4 Rounds were played with each round played over 12 ends. At the end of the day, the winners were Peter York & Bryce Billington (St Johns Park) with 4 wins + 46. Runners Up on the day were Rick Staats & Matt Hooker (Camden) with 4 wins + 41.

The last event of the Weekend was the Easter Monday Mixed Pairs Tournament. A near full field of 36 sides took to the greens, playing 4 rounds of 12 end matches. The winners of the day were Leanne Smith & Ching Li (St Johns Park) with 4 wins + 34. Runners Up on the day were Kris Williams & Peter Warren (St Johns Park)
