The last Club Championship of 2022/23 has been finalized, & what a game it was! Your 2022/23 Mixed Pairs Champions are Jasmine Smith (sub for Kirsi Calder) & Trent Craigie who defeated Terry Ryan & Brianna Smith 23-18 in what was a great game of bowls. The large amount of spectators were treated to a great display of both draw bowls & conversion shots by all players. The scores were locked at 9 all after 8 ends before Jasmine & Trent went on a hot streak winning 6 out of the next 7 ends to lead 21-11 after 15 ends. Terry & Brianna bounced back scoring a pair of 1’s, then a 4 to only trail 21-17 after 18 ends. Jasmine & Trent then steadied the ship, picking up 1’s on 2 of the last 3 ends whilst only conceding a 1 to take out the title 23-18.
