Ladies Club Triples Championship

Congratulations to Irene McBride, Karen Lyall & Dawn Hayman who are the 2024/25 Ladies Club Triples Champions. They defeated Donna McCormick-Ford, Annette Wentworth-Perry & Natasha Russell 18-17 on a extra end in a brilliant Final!

Dawn & team led 5-0 after 2 ends, but Natasha & team got into the game, levelling the scores at 6 all after 6 ends. 2 shots to both teams kept the scores level at 8 all after 8 ends. Team Russell would then 4 out of the next 5 ends to take a 15-9 lead after 13 ends. Team Hayman would then go on there own run, winning 5 out of the next 6 ends see the scores again level at 16 all with 2 ends to play. Natasha & team scored a 1 on the 2nd last end & were holding game until Dawn removed the shot bowl to hold 2. Natasha drew 2nd shot, & then Dawn’s last bowl missed by inches, making the scores level at 17 all after the 21 ends.

The extra end saw terrific bowls by all 6 players, trading shots all throughout the end. Natasha would secure the shot with her 1st bowl, while Dawn missed with her draw shot. Natasha attempted to run the jack in the ditch to secure the game, but was slightly off line. With her last bowl, Dawn would remove the shot bowl to claim 1, & the Club Triples title!
