2024/25 Men’s Over 60s Pairs Championship

Congratulations to Ross Craig & Brad Donaldson who are the 2024/25 Men’s Over 60s Pairs Champions, defeating Pat Scamardella & Domenic Mediati 21-12 in the Final.
Ross & Brad started the better of the 2 teams, leading 8-2 after 6 ends. Pat & Domenic would win 4 of the next 7 ends, but could only manage scores of 1 on those ends while Ross & Brad picked up a 3, 2 & 1 to lead 14-6 after 13 ends. A further 5 shots to Ross & Brad over the next 3 ends saw the score go out to 19-6 after 16 ends. Pat & Domenic then scored a 3 & a 1 to trim the margin to 9 shots, 19-10 with 3 ends to go giving them some hope of a comeback. Ross & Brad then scored a 2, then conceded a 2, which made the score 21-12 after 20 ends, thus giving the match & the Championship to Ross & Brad. Congratulations to all 4 players on a great performance.
In the Semi Finals, Ross & Brad needed an extra end to defeat Rod Ford & Gary Stanwell 20-18 after the scores were level at 18 all after 21 ends. In the other Semi Final, Pat & Domenic defeated Peter York & Mark Rashleigh 23-16.
